7 Weeks My Little Bowen

The tornados have hit Utah! Walking to church today I felt like I was in Wizard of Oz, I have a feeling I'm not in Saint Louis anymore TOTO.

I have not been getting enough sleep, and with that my immune system has been really low, with it being cold season of course I picked up another cold. I am just so happy Bowen didn't get it this time. But between waking up to feed and change Bowen and waking up because of my sore throat and not being able to swallow my lack of sleep is affecting me. I started clinicals with Dr. Sundwall at Alpine Family Medicine. I love it so much, such a good idea to become a DNP. I have a lot of learning to do but I know that it will all pay off in the end. We see lots of things in his clinic- things I suspected- asthma, colds, flu, pneumonia. But we also saw some cool stuff but by cool I mean kinda sad- a big skin infection from a diabetic ulcer on his foot turning gangrene yuck, a little girl with anorexia who lost 50 lbs in 5 months, that one broke my heart. Then I saw a girl with right upper abdominal pain and the X-ray showed she had hepatomegaly. Sundwall was like maybe she is a drinker--- ya in Alpine Utah well who knows people treat there depression all types of ways. Then we saw this guy who just ranted off for like an hour complaining of every little thing; he came in for a physical and was like can you take a look at this, and my pee isn't the same as it used to be, and then I have some constipation, oh ya and restless legs at night so I'm taking my loratab pills. Ya there is probably something better for your restless legs haha. OPIOIDS ARE HUGE HERE lets just say that. Also addrerall is like candy here as well. I am enjoying it so much though, I can't imagine doing anything else and I love helping people.

Bowen keeps me busy, If someone were to say, Cameryn what are your hobbies- I would say well right now Breastfeeding because it takes up 75% of my time. Bowen LOVES to nurse and eat and it shows with his double chin. I love it, he is gaining so much weight and growing. I don't want my little boy to grow up!But I love seeing him laugh and smile and goo and coo. His hats are still a little big on him so whenever I pull up the car seat cover his hats are covering his eyes. Isn't there a kid on southpark or something that has big hats? Don't worry he can still breath his little nostrils are poking out. Bowen got to meet a lot of people this week. No one wants to give him up, except Blake his uncle when he starts getting fussy but who's to blame him?

I got to go to PC with my dad on Friday since I had a half day. We went to his golf course that he is a member of up there and its gorgeous we got lunch and they had a big lululemon sale- Chris and I are a little obsessed right now. We worked out in there gym while Bowen slept. I felt like I was getting the all-star mommy treatment. Now I just need to use my massage I got for my birthday.

Saturday- was beautiful in Utah, we went on a walk outside and I finally got to go running without the BOB stroller. As much as that thing is a rock it is a ROCK, it is so hard to push sometimes I feel like I'm pushing bricks up a hill. Hey cardio and strength training. But this time I just got to enjoy the outside with no pressure and no pushing. I have to admit I miss my running and now that I am pretty close to done with recovery I am able to run a little better. Chris and I signed up for the St. Louis half marathon so we will see how that goes with the BOB. Grandpa BOBO ;) watched Bowen Saturday night so we could have a little girls night and go see LaLa Land. I was really excited at first but 2 1/2 hours later I was missing my baby and all I could think about was please lets just go home! We went with our neighbor Linda Black who invited us to go and drove or else I probably would have left! I just love him so much!
