Bowen's Baby Blessing

Finishing up clinical's this week was a big relief. It was not easy being a single mom for three weeks and waking up multiple times at night and working a 8-5 job every day. I have deep empathy for those single mom's who do it all by themselves. How in the world do they do it? Chris would be good at it, he doesn't need as much sleep as I do! I swear my body functions the best on 8 hours of sleep. I have had to get by with 5-6. Man it's rough hopefully it doesn't last too much longer.

We took Bowen to Beauty and The Beast this week. He LOVED it. Watching his face with the songs was priceless. His big eyes as "Be Our Guest" comes on, I think this boy is going to be musical. He loves dance and singing well honestly he likes to move and when people talk to him. Either way he is not a easy going child!

Nana JoJo watched Bowen while Chris and I got to enjoy a day to ski at Alta with Brian. We had a beautiful blue bird day. It was 42 degrees and I could have skied in a long sleeve shirt. I miss skiing so much. I definitely have a new found appreciation of being on the mountain from when I was a kid. It's complete bliss and peaceful. After we got a little Cafe Rio and got to see where Chris will work this next year at the Moran Eye Center. It's completely different than SLU. That being said I will miss SLU and knowing Chris is only a couple minutes away. But being by family will be so fun and we need to play catch up from the past 6 years!

Saturday we visited Justin, Stacey, and baby Bruce in the hospital. What a cutie. I am so happy that Bowen will have two other cousins so close in age to him. They are going to be little trouble makers I already know it. There are so many food places by Traverse Mountain and I didn't realize what a foodie I was until someone at work pointed it out to me. I guess I am. I like to try new things. This new place called SlapFish was so good! I was always so apprehensive about trying it because who goes to get fish when they go out to eat? But they have fish tacos, fish and chips, and this grilled cheese lobster crab thing that Chris got looked so good. Also chowder fries?? And one day when I can afford it I will get a lobster roll. We then went over to the Smith's for some Easter Egg Hunt fun and dinner. Bowen found his easter egg! It is so fun to see all the cousins there. The families are growing that is for sure! Chris needed a hair cut so trying to dodge between the kids running back and forth we somehow managed to get it done before Bowen's blessing.

Today we had Bowen's blessing and Chris did such a great job, brought me to tears! I just love this family of mine. I can't believe how being a mom changes your perspective of everything. I think Chris's blessing was the most epic of Sacrament meeting especially compared to the lady who rambled on about living in Alpine and moving. Sorry family we planned this just for you. I like Dad's "Just Stop" App.
We had some pulled chicken sandwiches after and enjoyed it with combined Smith and Call family. It's been a while since we got these two sides together--almost 6 years to be exact. Last time they were here we were dancing like mad people on the basketball court hearing wedding bells.

Thank you so much family for coming to support Bowen and his blessing. We know he is so loved and we are so grateful for family and to be close to family this next year. I can't wait to celebrate some good times.

love,

cameryn
