Lake Powell Round 2 2016

I am officially over 20 weeks! More than half way there! I'm not used to having a belly and I am exhausted/emotional/hungry all the time but when I feel him move I love it and it makes it so worth it. Chris and I finally decided on a name for this little one. Bowen Christopher Smith. After much vacillation, Lake Powell was the place where we finally could say that his name will be Bowen.

We spent the first days with the Smith family. We woke up at 4 am and headed to Utah bright and early. After arriving Chris told me that he was going to go mountain biking with his dad and brothers so Karen and I went on a city bike ride. We rode all through CottonWood Heights. We rode through all the nice areas where there were $10 mill. houses owned by Romney and Hunstman and some other rich people. We came home and napped and watched some Olympics and then got a little Cafe Rio! I think it's good but I think it just reminds me of home so I just have to get it every time I go.

Sunday we went to church and had the Smith Siblings over for some BBQ and fun. Chris and I bailed on the party for a little bit to talk to Dr. Mifflin about cornea fellowships. It would be our first choice if we were to match there but I have learned not to get my hopes up!!! We even got him fitted for a few suits that he got for his birthday. Interview season is coming up!

Monday we fit in some teeth cleaning in the morning and then after got a golf lesson from Mr. Bob Call. We went to a beautiful country club in Park City. I would be perfectly fine if they decided to move up that way. It is gorgeous up there. We hit some balls, and I actually hit pretty good thanks to the teaching of dad, but Chris and I still managed to dig up some holes in the ground.

We got everything ready for Powell Tuesday and headed off. Tanner was greatly missed but we still had the rest of the fam. and some of Kathy's kids and grandkids, Jace's gf, Brittnay and Tanner and Blake's best friends Camri.

Although I couldn't do as much this trip on the Lake we still had tons of fun playing games, going on hikes, swimming, in the boat. We had to leave a little early since our flight was sunday night.

My favorite parts of Powell-1.  Brittnay showing us how she pops her hip and Jace farting in the background making it look like she was guilty. 2. Dad laughing in the beginning when the narrator tells the wolves to open their eyes and then we killed him off and then admits "I'm the wolf, that laughed!" 3. SUP around the lake! 4. The amazing food that we always have at Powell. 5. Hiking to the "little weiner" as stated by Colton. 5. Girls ruled the couch game. And then there was the trio. Chris saying, "Your not going to get anywhere until you get him out of the seat!" Pointing to Tom.

I got to see my college roommate Albany who is going to Audiology school in Arizona Mesa. So fun to see her and Randon. I wish I could see more of my friends but we literally crammed a full trip in, so busy- work hard to play hard. And of course I had to work the next morning getting in at 1:30am. So worth it to have a fun trip. And Mags had a fun time with Hailey going on hikes, to the dog park, hanging with Bigsby and Worthy. I don't know if she even missed us!!

School starts back up the 24th of August!!! Advanced patho here I come.

Have a great Week !!!
