Graduation!!!

Graduated from nursing school check. Kaplan course check. Moving...not check. This week we are moving to another complex/duplex 5 mins away from Lafayette Square. I am going to miss this building and the area but definitely not going to miss the 5th floor, walking Maggie up and down the stairs. The one thing I love about where we are right now is that we can see the arch and Busch Stadium. Chris and I have become pretty big Cardinals fans. From our apartment we can see/hear the fireworks indicating a home run or a win for the Cardinals. Downtown is about 2 miles from where we live. So we could technically walk there although in the humidity it probably wouldn't be the best idea.
I can't believe I am done. I really thought Nursing school was going to go on forever. I literally had to take it one week at a time or I would get so overwhelmed because there is always something to do. Now I get to study for NCLEX which is my test where I get my license to work as an RN. I have a couple of job interviews next week. Labor and Delivery at Barnes Jewish Hospital and then Trauma/Orthopedics Floor at SLU. Really I don't know which one I want to do. I am still keeping my options open!

My parents came down for a few days for the graduation and to check out St. Louis. We took them to a Cardinals game. My dad said, oh ya we don't have very good tickets. As we were trying to find our seats. I was like what where are we going? We got to the 100's section and went down. I was freaking out saying wait these are really good seats?! I love my dad. He always has a surprise for us. Especially like the time we came back from Hawaii and he told us no one was there to pick us up and we would have to wait. Then we went out and there was a limo that picked us up. Good times.
We went to all our favorite fun places: Ted Drewes, Pappys, Pi Pizza.

I had my first call as a nurse. My friend in my ward her dad had a concussion a week before and started having seizures and tremors. I was in the middle of my Kaplan course when she called. He was refusing to go to the HCP and the ER. She asked me a couple of questions what it could be. I'm no doctor so of course I advised her to go to the ER immediately, she wanted to know what it was and honestly you don't know until you get tested.. electrolyte imbalance, hemorrhage..  I'm sure I will have many more calls in the future and I am just glad I am able to have had a great education at SLU:)

Chris and I went to one of our friend's weddings yesterday in Columbia. We met because our dogs looked so much alike and they got a long so well. We became friends immediately. So happy to have met Elise and Jake and Stella :) They live in another complex now so we don't have to worry about leaving them.

Maggie has adjusted quite well. She hasn't had any accidents yet and she is fine going right to her crate. I'm sure our new place will be another adjustment for her though.

Next week I'm getting ready for my half marathon and hitting it hard with the books. Love and miss you all.
