The Three'er'

First three days in a row. Getting up at 5am and home at 8pm is almost worth it. I'm still trying to get used to those days. I will be working a three'er' this next week too. Saw the saddest thing this week. I have to choose to be in a rotation of either abortion or birth of a still born. I rotated once to see the abortion and the process of it. It was the saddest thing ever, I won't go into detail but the nurse I am orienting with said that it was the worse one she has ever seen. Awesome.. It was so sad, made me sick. They also record the FHT and put it in a Build a Bear if the family wishes it. They also do footprints and leave a sweet poem of hearing the whispers in the wind of an angel. We put a butterfly picture outside the door so that no one goes in to say congrats to the family. It is so hard, and I don't even know where to begin emotionally with the family. It's a hard topic to approach with the family and obviously the women is somewhat upset. They taught us therapeutic communication in school but nothing ever prepared me for this.

Chris is no longer on weekend call or weekday call! Not until next year that is...We got to play this week, hike, swimming, grocery store, Little Lona's. We were able to go to the temple, and even got to go to church for the first time together in months. It was a good weekend and next weekend will be even better. We get to play in Utah and go to Lake Powell!

Chris has a new calling of Primary Pianist. He helped me in my lesson today as I taught Sharing Time.
